As a former street kid himself, Patrick Mwesigwa knows what it means to live without a roof over his head, without food to eat, and without a mother or father to help him through each day. His own experience of life on the streets eventually led him to a group home, where he was rescued and given the opportunity to rebuild his life.
That experience became part of the foundation for the work Patrick does today. In 2019, Patrick began reaching out to street kids he encountered daily. As he listened to their stories and saw the challenges they faced, his desire to help them grew into a mission.
By faith, Patrick began rescuing street kids and teaching them how to live in a safe and caring home. He also shares the love of God with the children, helping them understand that their circumstances do not have to define their future.
Today, R.A.D.O.S. (Raising Destitute Orphans) Home serves 32 former street kids, giving them a safe place to live, learn and grow. Patrick's vision is to ensure that these children no longer have to call the streets their home and to help them become the young men and women God wants them to be.
